If you want to fill gap if you have brick extension, this item could fill that gap. Â
Measure from EDGE OF BRICK to the center of the screw hole then subtract 1 2 the width of the base which is 9 16in – just round that to 1 4in.  So if you have 1in distance from center of screw to edge of brick get a 3 4in shim.
SHIM IS NOT RED –Â Â Shown as red for clarityÂ
